Is an Angel Investment Right for Me?
It is important that you understand who BRAIN investors are, how we operate, what we look for in potential investments, and what we expect in return.
BRAIN members do not invest as a group. Rather, they collaborate on due diligence, but make individual investment decisions.
On average, angels are patient, with an average term for holding an investment of eight years. For the risk and added value they provide, angels seek returns of at least ten times their investment.
What BRAIN Is Looking for
BRAIN members typically invest between $100,000 to $500,000 as a group and prefer to participate in investment rounds where the overall cash raised is less than $2.5 million. Businesses in which BRAIN invests have a good chance of achieving more than $10 million in revenue within five years.
When we evaluate proposals, we assess the strength of the management team, market opportunity, growth potential, and other factors. To stand out from the rest of the crowd, make sure that you meet our investment criteria and that you are fully prepared with a polished business plan and presentation.
BRAIN receives dozens of business plan submissions each year. Our evaluation process involves a thorough screening process in which approximately three companies per quarter are selected to present to us for investment consideration.
